Новый фильм о Макс Пейне якобы разрабатывается 20th Century Studios

Max Payne is rumored to be returning to the big screen as a new action movie is allegedly in the works at 20th Century Studios.

It’s been more than a decade since the critically acclaimed first Max Payne movie hit theaters. Starring Mark Wahlberg, the feature film marked the cinematic debut of the character brought to life by Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Games.

Now the troubled detective is said to be making a comeback to the big screen as the new project begins to pick up steam.

20th Century Studios set to develop next Max Payne film

According to well-known film industry insider Daniel Richtman, known as RPK News, a second attempt to get Max Payne into the action will be made by 20th Century Studios. The potential project was revealed on Richtman’s Patreonwhere all his publications are located.

It appears that the cinematic rights to the franchise were included in the Disney-Fox merger, as the 2008 film directed by John Moore was distributed by 20th Century Fox.

While Richtman didn’t specify whether the project would take the form of a movie or a TV show, it’s likely that the studio will try its hand at a second big-screen release.

With the announcement of the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes and the arrival of Max Payne 3 on Xbox Game Pass, there has certainly been renewed interest in the Remedy noir shooter franchise.

While John Moore’s adaptation of the first game fell short in 2008, we hope that Payne’s future game will be an unforgettable adventure.
