Celestia – a strange floating island, the abode of the gods in Genshin Impact. While most players don’t know anything about him, this is one of the first things they can find in the manga. But other than that, little is known about the creepy floating island.
Players who don’t know about this place often wonder if it exists. It is said that mortals who perform heroic deeds can ascend Celestia with the potential to attain divinity.

Where to find Celestia in Genshin Impact
Celestia (Chinese 天空岛 Tiānkōng-dǎo) is a mysterious place that not everyone knows about. This is a floating island that can be seen in the sky of Teyvat. Based on the storyline trailer as well as the English article Gnosticism is a realm for gods more powerful than Seven Archons.
It is said that only mortals who perform great heroic feats can ascend Celestia and reach godhood, where they will watch over Teyvat.
At the moment, only two characters are known to have been able to ascend to Celestia: Vennessa and Guhua.

Celestia is a floating island that can be located in the sky around Teyvat. It does not move like the sun or moon and can be seen from different angles in different places. For example, from Stormterror Lair, Celestia can be seen to the west, looking straight and obvious. Being from Qingyun Peak, it seems to lean towards the south to some extent.
The floating island can be seen both at night and during the day. Although it can be quite difficult to notice it in the daytime sky.
Theories about Celestia

Celestia and its inhabitants are a mystery to the inhabitants of Teyvat. Most people believe that this is where the chosen mortals ascend to become gods and watch over Teyvat.
Due to the many mysteries surrounding the sky island, versions of how Celestia operates, who can become a deity, or how people can earn divinity, vary greatly. For example, in Li Yue, some believe that adepts are the offspring of Celestia, and after death they return there to rest.
Dainsleif, during the quest Dainsleif: Branch Keeper, mentions the Falcon of the West and says “Falcon of the West… You could soar in the sky, but instead you wander under the light of the gods…suggesting that even after ascension, a human is still a rank lower than Celestia’s gods.
found on dragon backbone notes, model records, tablets and other artifacts indicate that the people who once lived in the territory of the Ridge were under the gaze of the gods and received blessings from the heavenly island. However, the doubts that overtook the people about the generosity of the deities and their attempts to get to the island angered Celestia, for which she brought down a cold spike on the inhabitants, turning the territory into a frozen wasteland.
Relations with the Archons
Archons are believed to resonate with Celestia’s power directly through their God Heart. They are strongly associated with Celestia, but almost never mention it.
At this point, it seems that the Archons have a rather strained relationship with Celestia. Venti, aka Anemo Archon Barbatos, only occasionally answers questions about the floating island, often simply avoiding the subject. In the manga, he is shown to become very uncomfortable at the mention of Celestia. In the storyline trailer, Dinesleif says that the Hydro Archon “knows it’s impossible to argue with the heavenly order”, while the Queen is planning a “rebellion against the heavenly order” – perhaps that’s why she is trying to take the Hearts of God from the other Archons.
Appearance
The floating “island” actually appears to be composed of several land masses with one large central rock and about seven to eight smaller “satellites” arranged around it. These outer cliffs are connected by a single ring-shaped structure, which is held in place by several bridges or arches that emerge from the central island.
All of these bedrocks appear almost uprooted from the ground at some point in the past, their surfaces covered in lush plains and forests contrasting with the rough, rocky undersides. While a few architectural monuments can be seen on the outer cliffs, the focus is on the central mass, with two notable structures made of marble or similar white stone. The former is a smaller, spire-like structure located at the edge of the central section, while the latter is a more prominent central multi-storey spire, which itself is topped by a massive gold structure resembling an astrolabe.

Furthermore, the architecture of the central massif seems to descend deep below surface level, with a distinct inverted dome peeking out from the very base of the rock.
Apart from the forests and green plains mentioned on the upper land surfaces, there also seem to be several subterranean rivers gushing out of the rock, gradually fading into nothingness as they freefall hundreds of miles above the earth. Although the general view is still impressive and breathtaking, even from a distance, among the bright marble buildings with the fragments of spiers and bridges, slight signs of dilapidation and wear can be seen.
