GreenTeaNeko ART?
As an illustrator, GreenTeaNeko likes to think of herself as a cross between Ponoko and AOA Ramens, with an added dash of Grumpig. “Through over a decade of creating animations for countless years, I’ve gained enough experience to bring my own style of art to life on a webcomic with hope to reflect what the internet has to offer.” Although not always an artist, GreenTeaNeko has a hard time staying still, working behind the scenes on many animation projects, as well as an assortment of illustrations and minicomics. Every morning she leaps out of bed, and without even taking a glance at her alarm clock, she leaps into bed. When she wakes up at 7 AM, she bounds through her apartment, and sprints around with endless energy, as if her life depends on it.
MonGirl
The story behind the creation of MonGirl was inspired by an incident where Neko’s girlfriend at the time had been attacked while walking home from work one night. She was beaten up so badly she lost her left eye. The attack happened because she refused to give her attacker money. This event made him angry enough to want revenge on women who refuse his advances. He decided to create a character called “MonGirl” who would be able to fight back against men like him.

The Comics of GreenTeaNeko
It’s been a long journey for me, in the comics. Over the last 2 years, I have evolved and grown in the way I look at the world. I’ve realized that there’s no such thing as life or death, but life. I can be someone’s kamikaze, but I have to be willing to accept that the risk has to be my own. When I wake up in the morning, I feel alive, because my heart is beating and I’m alive. I’ve realized that in art, there’s no one who can tell you exactly what they think. Sometimes, artists have to be true to themselves. Be true to your own art. Be honest with your art. Be vulnerable. Be the little engine that could. Be you. I’m really glad that I made it this far, my comics have brought me so much happiness and joy in my life.
